A Review - Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask

Hello My Lovelies,

I'm back yet again with another great Valentia product to review. Like I've mentioned before, Valentia reached out to me to test out their products at absolutely no charge in return for my honest opinion and exposure to my readers so, let the review begin!

First off: The Packaging.
The packaging was so incredibly sleek and chic. It comes in a small white box that's glossy and black and gold lettering. The ingredients are right on the box and even before open it, you can already smell it! As you can see in the picture that I have attached above, Valentia products are 98% natural ingredients, Vegan friendly, Made in the USA, Organic ingredients, And cruelty free. That's a whole lot of goodness going into one tub of product! Thumbs up for Valentia.

Secondly: The Product Packing.
The tub of clay that was sent to me was something I was really looking forward to. I LOVE beauty facials and anything that boosts my skins appearance is fine by me! The product comes in a really nice quality white plastic jar with a screw top lib. It's good quality so it won't crack in your makeup bag or anything like that. Already off to a good start.

Thirdly: The Product itself.
Can I just say how much I LOVE The scent of this product? It smells divine! It has cranberry fibers and natural and Organic Ingredients - With Kaolin Clay and Hibiscus. Like I mentioned before, I could smell how lovely the scent was before I even opened the package! So, I decided to test it out after my bath. As per usual, I exfoliated with my peach scrub and removed my makeup, then I decided to finish off the night with a nice clay mask. I tested it out on the middle of my forehead(waited a couple seconds to see if I would react and I didn't.) I then applied it to the rest of my face and HOLY HELL it burned. I was frantic and I immediately washed it off because I had no idea that it was going to burn that badly. I applied it around my nose area and that is where it started to burn and sting. It got really warm and tingly and burned! I was so scared that I was going to get an allergic reaction so I immediately washed it off. I swore that I was to never put that on my face again because of the sensation. And the following days after that, I noticed I had broken out on my forehead RIGHT where I placed the product on. So, I was so upset. It burned and it made me break out! Then I realized, what time of the month it was and it dawned on me that I break out on my forehead anyways when I'm due for my period so I realized "Okay, maybe it wasn't the mask."

Once my face cleared up a bit and I DIDN'T exfoliate right before putting the product on, I figured I'd give this another shot. But, prior to applying it to my face again, I did some research and turns out that this was not meant for sensitive skin so it has a burning sensation but subsides pretty quickly. Okay. I can do this.

I applied it and again it burned! But, I trucked through it and waited for it to stop tingling. It took maybe a good 30-40 seconds for it to stop burning and then it settled and started to harden.

The instructions say to leave it on for about 20 minutes so I did just that. It got really stiff and hardened on my face, I could barely move it and I looked like a complete baboon with it on! But, I kept it on for 20 minutes and hopped in the shower to remove it. It is thick so it didn't just slide off, It took some effort with circular motions to remove the bits and pieces of it.

The Verdict:
I love it. Again, I love Valentia. Although it did burn and sting a little, that was expected since I have sensitive skin. It smelled AMAZING! And the exfoliates weren't super harsh, perfect. It did just as it said it would, It hardened to a mask and tightened my skin. I will definitely DEFINTELY be adding this to my beauty routine!

Thank you Valentia for another product that I'm crazy about!
