Manic Mondays - Busiest week of my life!

Hello My Lovelies!

It's been quite a while since I've been on here and for that I do apologize. I was extremely busy with entertaining people that are visiting the country! Very hectic but rewarding!
To kick start this post, I will jump right into the festivities! My boyfriend's cousin that is from Thailand came to America for the first time on May 23rd with a friend. His cousin is here for schooling and we wanted to show her around California before school started so the first full day she was here we took her and her friend to Universal Studios Hollywood! I have to admit that I was as much as a tourist as they were since the last time I've been to this theme park was when i was about 9 years old! So we went, saw some pretty amazing shows and did pretty much ALL of the rides there! We really did have a blast. It was such a cool experience to watch people experience things for the first time and the look on their faces were priceless. It's a humbling feeling to witness someone go through something so extravagant for the very first time in their lives. Ps. Universal Studios is no longer doing "Buy one ticket get the rest of the year for free" deal anymore since only half of the year is available. Boo.

Sunday morning, We left for Las Vegas! This was my third time going so it's still pretty new to me as well so I was as excited as she was. We stayed at a really nice hotel called the Palazzo for a couple of nights and we did so many fun things. First night that we got there, we say Zarkana which is a Cirque Du Soleil show and it was my very first time seeing any show in Vegas! After seeing the show, my boyfriend decided that he wanted to gamble so we went downstairs to our hotel's casino and we made sure to grab some drinks before hand. First off, I got drunk way too quickly lol and we ended up walking the strip at like 2 AM. Seeing the clubs empty out and slowly the streets got less dense. We ended up going back to our hotel room at around 4 AM since we had to get up early lol. I woke up the next day not hungover but my head was spinning for a bit. But, we went on to go shopping! That was the boring part of our day and after the shopping was done, we went to go tryout a new buffet called the Bacchanal Buffet as Caesar's Palace which was BEYOND incredible! They have so many selections from fresh seafood, so steaks and ribs, all sorts of Asian cuisine, pasta's, spanish foods an the list goes on and on! But, my favorite part of the buffet was the dessert section. So many tasty treats to try out and they all looked so delicious! For $50 a person, you better get your money's worth! Sadly, on Tuesday we left Las Vegas and headed come back to California.

Wednesday morning we headed to DISNEYLAND! My boyfriend's cousin Opal, is a HUGE Disney fan so she has been looking forward to this day for a very VERY long time. I've been to Disneyland many times before but it was still a special day! We did many rides that we normally wouldn't do since my boyfriend and I like the fast paced rides. Since our visitors were not into roller coasters we veered towards the more kid friendly and slower moving rides.
Little did we know that the day we decided to go on was the day Disneyland was hosting "Grad Night" for graduates. Very quickly, the park got VERY full. It got so full that people were walking and rubbing elbows with each other everywhere they went! This picture was taken from Iravin's phone and you can see how crowded it was on Wednesday. But, nonetheless we ventured on and toughed through the crowds. Eventually it was nightfall and the girls were excited to see the firework show for the first time. We got pretty good seats and waited for the show to start. On time, the first set of fireworks went off and everyone's face just lit up! Sadly, almost towards the end of the firework show an announcement came on saying that the winds were too strong and that the firework should would have to be cancelled so we didn't get to see the grand finale but it was still a pretty good day!
On Thursday, Opal had to go to San Jose to stay with her aunt until school starts for her(she's going to San Jose State.) It was a sad goodbye but I'm sure we'll be seeing her often!

That was my week, you guys. May not seem too busy to some of you but to us, it was INCREDIBLY hectic. With little amounts of sleep and doing activities all day and traveling to many places, it was nice to be able to sleep in and put your feet up haha

Thanks for reading!
